Definitions: The “Customer” Refers To You.
The Company refers to (Brophy Services) or “Lockfast.pt”
NOTE: a digital signature is required by the customer and co-signed by the company before any work & services are provided.
By using the services of Lockfast Locksmiths Algarve (referred to here as “the company”), you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by the company through the lockfast.pt website.
Services
The company provides locksmith services to customers in Portugal. These services include but are not limited to emergency lockout services, lock repairs and replacements, key cutting, security upgrades, Car keys, etc
Fees and Payment
The company fees for services are available on request and may vary depending on the nature and complexity of the work required. Payment for services must be made in full upon completion of the work unless agreed otherwise with the company in writing prior to the commencement of the work. We accept cash, credit or debit cards, and (MB WAY) Multibanco. Bank transfers must be agreed upon before any work is commenced.
Availability of Services
The company will use reasonable endeavors to ensure that its services are available at reasonable times. However, the company will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the unavailability of its services.
Liability
The company will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from the provision of its services, except in cases of proven negligence on the part of the company.
Lock Changes & Repair Work
The company will only guarantee parts that it has installed or replaced and not any other fitting or mechanism that may be connected with that part.
Customer Obligations
Customers must provide accurate and complete, information to the company at all times. Customers must also ensure that they have the legal right to request the services of the company and that the work requested is legal.
Warranty
The company warrants its labour-only services for a period of 30 days from the date of completion of the work. The company warrants its supplied parts for a period of 1 year from the date of completion of work. If a defect arises in the work within this period, the company will rectify the defect free of charge, provided that the defect is not a result of misuse or neglect by the customer.
Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time by giving written notice by email to the other party. In the event of termination, the customer will be liable for any fees due to the company for work carried out up to the date of termination.
Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Portugal and any disputes arising from them will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal.
Changes to Terms and Conditions
The company reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on the lockfast.pt website.
By using the services of the company, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms and Conditions, you should not use the company’s business services.
By requesting any of our services by phone, email, or any electronic means you the customer will enter into this contract agreement with the company service provider lockfast.pt and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions as set out here. An electronic signature is required by the customer or any other persons acting on behalf of the customer. before the start of any work undertaken.
Identification
The customer must satisfy the company that they are authorised to hire the business to carry out any services as the legal owner or legal tenant of any residential or commercial building. Any Automotive work undertaken will also require the customer to produce legal ownership and the vehicle documents. If a vehicle is owned by a hire company the hire company must give in writing or by email consent to carry out any such services including locks, keys, vehicle entry, and remote controls.
Disputes
The customer must give the company a reasonable amount of time to rectify any discrepancies which in the unlikely event occur. This will be agreed to by the company and the customer. If a dispute can’t be settled between the company and the customer arbitration will be the next course of action. Any disputes and or disagreements may not held or published without the consent of the company in or on any type of public forum.
Automotive Services
We will take all reasonable care to avoid and/or minimize damage being caused to Your vehicle in the course of the company providing the Services. For the avoidance of doubt, We shall have no responsibility for making good any such damage that does occur or for any cleaning or other associated costs linked to such damage.
We will not be liable to You for loss or damage due to the Contract unless We cause death or injury through Our negligence.
If You are a consumer, We will not be responsible under this Contract for any loss or damage that relates to any business interests of yours. Nothing in these Terms will affect Your right to bring legal action. All parts supplied by Us and all materials used in carrying out the Services shall remain Our property until payment is received from you the customer in full.
We may use independent contractors (“Other Contractors”) to provide Services to you. Other Contractors have no authority to insure liability on behalf of or to act as agents for us the company.
The company is not responsible for any issues you have with the functioning of a vehicle before or after we commence any work to it.
If any electronic or manual modules fitted to or have been replaced to a vehicle before or after any work/services provided by us affect the functioning of the remotes, immobiliser, or keys the company will not be responsible for any issues arising from that. Requests for keys cut to code will be the original keys that the car left the factory with when manufactured. If the locks have been changed after the manufacturing date the company with not be responsible for incorrect cutting or bitting.
The company reserves the right to amend any of the conditions noted here.

Note: Certain situations will require a lock to be removed or broken to gain entry, for example, a lock that has failed to operate due to failure or internal/external damage. IP addresses and device IDs are logged. Identification and proof of ownership/tenancy required to gain entry to dwellings, vehicles, Commercial buildings, and safes.
